Deb Hodges, President of Health Plans, Inc., named to SIIA Government Relations Committee

Westborough, MA - October 1, 2015 - Deborah Hodges, President of Health Plans Inc., (HPI) has been named to the Self-Insurance Institute of America, Inc.’s (SIIA) Government Relations Committee for 2015-16.

Hodges leads HPI’s diversification growth strategy and represents the organization to the
parent company, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. She has held a number of senior executive
positions over the past two decades.

SIIA’s Government Relations Committee assists staff in analyzing healthcare reform
legislation and regulation on the federal and state levels, and developing policy
recommendations for consideration by the board of directors. The committee also assists
staff in raising money for the Self-Insurance Public Action Committee.

Hodges joined HPI in 1993 to build its self-funded sales team as regional sales executive.
She has since served numerous roles in the sales arena including vice president of sales
and marketing and as senior vice president. Previously, Hodges was an underwriting
manager for R.E. Moulton, director of marketing at Mt. Vernon Associates and was in sales at Blue Cross/Blue Shield Massachusetts. She holds a BS in healthcare administration.
